Senator TexasGurl has baby - In a less political news story, we’d like to take some time to acknowledge the birth of Bryan Ross, the baby of Senator TexasGurl. Congrats and good luck from all the Atlasia1 staff!

Peter Bell Unofficially Confirmed as Chief Justice - With six senators voting in favor, (Gabu, Hughento, MasterJedi, PBrunsel, Porce and TexasGurl,) the Presidents promotion of Associate Justice Peter Bell to Chief Justice is almost confirmed, except that neither the PPT or the Vice President have certified the results yet. When this happens, all Senators will have 24 hours to change their votes.

Midwest Governor Race Won't Be Boring - CheeseWhiz, owner of Atlasia1, has decided to contest ILV in this month's gubernatorial race. The decision is not, in any way, because CheeseWhiz doesn't like Ilikeverin. Now that I'm running, Atlasia1 is going to become extremely biased. CheeseWhiz to run for office? - For all of this week, I’m going to have a poll: If I were to run for office, what office should it be? The choices are: Senator, Governor, Cabinet Position (please specify,) President and Vice-President. Email me your answer here. I’m really not planning on running for a long time, but I thought I’d see what I should look into when I do run.

Keystone Phil urges voters to vote for Blerpiez - Former Vice-President Keystone Phil, one of the most steadfast conservatives on the forum, urged the remaining voters to vote for Blerpiez, a liberal, over Mike Assad, a conservative. Assad has been considered a "troll" by many, but Keystone Phil put a great deal of faith in him when he said he’d reform, yet now concedes that he seems to have gone back to his trolling ways. Blerpiez currently leads the election 5-3.

District map might finally be settled - Every four months the Governors meet to discuss redistricting. These meetings can take a very long time. A map by former Governor Ernest (SE) was formally introduced by Governor Berger (NE.) Governor Bell (ME) and Governor Wildcard (PA) have said they also support this map. So, this makes 3 out of 5 in support. Governor Nelson hasn’t joined in the discussion yet and Governor Verin has voted for each of his proposed maps 5 times (he can’t actually do this.) Now if you will excuse me, I have to pay my governor $.01 for calling him Gov. Verin. Wait, that’s two cents now, isn’t it? Ugh, this reporting stuff just doesn't pay off sometimes.

Senate Conformation Hearings have started - The Senator has done alot of questioning already. VP Designate Alcon’s first statement was, "Grill me like a steak, gentlemen." Secretary King seems to have misheard the statement and actually grilled him a steak.

Blerpiez takes the lead over Assad - In the D2 special election, Blerpiez is widening his lead with the count at 6-2. PPT Gabu has stated that he will resign if Assad gets elected. "Jews" seems to have voted 100% against Assad, probably because of his well-known anti-semitic barbs.

Atlasia1 added to the READ-FIRST! - Secretary King made a new 'Read First!' that hasn't been stickied as of yet. On the new 'Read First' he put Atlasia1 under "Keeping up with the latest news." I'm so proud :)

President True Democrat Sworn In - After a long race full of attack ads and partisan bitterness, it seems this contest has finally come to an end. Mr. Trondheim was on the ticket to be inaugurated as president, but as most fantasy voters are aware, he wouldn't have won if all the ballots had been counted; so he declined to accept the position and his Vice-Presidential Candidate took over in his stead. Alcon has been nominated for VP and King has been retained for SoFA.

Sixth Senate Officially in Session - All the Senators of the Sixth Session have been sworn in now. PPT Gabu has already started re-introducing bills, and it seems the conformation of the Cabinet shall be done speedily. Posted by Mark Ard (CheeseWhiz) on Thursday, March 5, 2005, 6:08 AM

District 3 Special Election Called for Nym - After Sen. Realpolitik resigned his seat for personal reasons Sen. Nym announced his candidacy. He said he would not this race for granted, something many people blame him for doing in the regular D3 election and that may have
cost him the seat. He also challenged Mr. Write-In to a debate; he never responded and is now
losing in a landslide race.

Mike Naso Sworn In - Mike Naso was the first new senator to be sworn in. He won in a controversially and close race last week against incumbent Senator Nym90.
